The Pavilion is home to Crondall's Bowls and Cricket clubs. It is continuously being renovated to provide an attractive and up-to-date sports venue for the local community. To find out more about our refurbishment program read on.
When we started
in 2010, after 30 years of hard use, the pavilion looked like this:
The windows were rotting, the doors were beginning to fall apart, the roof and guttering had seen much better days and it was surrounded by cracked paving and weeds!
What we've done to 2014
We have totally renovated the structure and surroundings of the building by installing:
a new roof (after the old one was blown off in the autumn 2013 gales!)
double glazed windows and upvc doors
upvc bargeboards and fascias, with new guttering
a new pathway round the building
a new electric consumer unit
In the process our team of volunteers has straightened out a wooden wall, removed an old and unused bar, retreated the external timbers and painted most of our main hall. We now have a watertight and much cosier pavilion and by April will finish redecorating, following the damage caused by our leaky roof.
Who did it?
None of this could have happened without the generous help of our sponsors:
for the new roof: an award from BIFFA, a multi-million pound fund that helps to build communities and transform lives through awarding grants to community and environmental projects across the UK. www.biffa-award.org
for support over several years funding the double glazing and other projects: Crondall Triathlon www.crondall-triathlon.co.uk
for help funding the plastics: Hampshire Playing Fields Association

Nor would it have happened without the hard work of:
our team of volunteer members
our contractors - especially Waterfall Windows and Moran Roofing Specialists
Between 2014 and 2020
Our volunteer members have finished redecorating the interior of the main hall and the changing rooms. We have also updated the kitchen and toilet areas. There has also been some work on the green itself.
