Proposed playing arrangements for sort mat sessions at Crondall Bowls Club

It is proposed that initially there will be three roll up sessions for club members and guests per week starting on the 3^rd October.

Tuesday afternoons 2.00 – 4.00pm, Wednesday mornings 10.00-12.00noon, and Thursday evenings 7.00 – 9.00pm.

Unlike our outside roll ups, timing will be more important, participants should arrive at least 10 minutes early so teams can be organised for a prompt start.

For all of the sessions in October an experienced short mat player will be in attendance to give guidance, encouragement and organise the games. After 26^th October members will be expected to turn up and organise themselves.

On arrival players should sign in and put rink fee in the box provided, the fees will be £2.00 per session for club members and £4.00 per session for guests.

Extra roll up days and times can be added in the future if enough club members wish to play on a different day.

In addition to the above, a session for U3A members will be held on Tuesday mornings 10.00 – 12.00noon.

In the event of other club activities needing to use the pavilion, roll up sessions will be cancelled and the mat rolled up so the club activities can take place as normal.

Members can organise ad hoc sessions between themselves and play at any time the pavilion is free. This needs to be booked on a sheet in the clubhouse (similar to our existing rink booking system). Rink fees still apply as above.

After Christmas if there is enough interest it may be possible to run some internal competitions or invite other clubs to come for a friendly match.
